Conference 2020: Bridging the gap

Webinar

18 Sep 2020

9:45AM - 4:30PM

EWI's Online Conference will bring together expert witnesses, solicitors, barristers and eminent judges to discuss the key issues facing the expert community. Sponsored by Redwood Collections.
This conference is aimed at:
  • Experienced Experts looking to develop their practice
  • New Experts looking to develop their understanding
  • Those who work with or instruct Experts

What skills will Experts need in the future? How has the Covid-19 pandemic shaped the role of technology in the Courts and how might this effect practice in the long-term? How can we bring together Experts and Instructing Parties without compromising independence? How is Brexit likely to affect Expert Witnesses? How can we improve practice in Arbitration and the Coroner’s Court?

This year's conference will answer these questions and many more.

Following feedback from members at the AGM, this year's conference will be delivered online.

Learning Objectives

1. Improve your practice to ensure you are fit for the future
2. Develop strategies for more effective working relationships between Experts and Instructing parties
3. Hear the latest advice from Judges and Barristers

Networking with colleagues

We appreciate that a key element of the conference is networking with other delegates and that this element is removed from an online conference. That's why we will be asking delegates whether you are happy for us to share your contact details with other delegates so you can use the breaks to set up one to one or small group meetings with other delegates.
