Join us for an evening of drinks, canapés, and the Sir Michael Davies lecture which will be delivered by The Hon Mr Justice Trower, a High Court judge and member of The Civil Procedure Rule Committee whose theme will be "Independence, bias and conflicts of interest: when might the independence of an expert’s evidence be regarded by the court as compromised, and what are the consequences where it is?”
The evening is open to members and non-members, experts and legal professionals. As well as the lecture we will be presenting this years EWI Honorary Fellowships and recognising those members who have completed certification in the last year. There will be plenty of time available to network with delegates over drinks and canapes.

The Hon Mr Justice Trower

Mr Justice Trower was called to the Bar in 1983. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 2001 and became a Deputy High Court Judge in 2007. He became a High Court Judge assigned to the Chancery Division in 2019.  He has been a member of the Civil Procedure Rules Committee since 2020.  He also hears cases in the Financial List.

  • Cancellations received more than 50 business days prior to the event – A full refund will be given.
  • Cancellations received 26 -50 business days prior to the event – A 75% refund will be given.
  • Cancellations received 16-25 business days prior to the event – A 50% refund will be given.
  • Cancellations received less than 15 business days prior to the event – no refund will be given.

Please note, any delegates who do not attend on the day will not receive a refund.  Access to the event will be denied if payment in advance has not been made.

The EWI reserve the right to cancel any event with a minimum of 3 business days’ notice and will provide a full refund to delegates.
