Roger V Clements FRCS, FRCOG (Ed), FAE, FEWI

Roger was a consultant (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) at the North Middlesex Hospital from 1973 - 1994. He was also the medical executive director from 1991 - 1994. He retired from clinical practice in 2006.

He was the founding editor of Clinical Risk, and author of Safe Practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology 1994; Clinical Directors Handbook 1995/1996; Medical Evidence 2001; and Litigation and Risk Management in Obstetrics and Gynaecology 2001. Roger has also contributed to Medical Negligence (ed. Powers and Harris) and Clinical Risk Management (ed. Charles Vincent).

Roger has submitted over 3,000 expert reports in civil litigation (plaintiff and defendant), criminal cases, disciplinary inquiries and industrial tribunals and has frequently given oral evidence in the High Court (in both England and Ireland), County Court, General Medical Council disciplinary inquiries, and industrial tribunals. Roger is a member of the Clinical Disputes Forum and a Fellow of the Academy of Experts.

Roger was a founding Governor of the Expert Witness Institute in 1996.
